About the Campaign
Since 2000, Yassin has been working with groups of 40 children with disabilities in a rehabilitation center he built in his home. Every summer he would host 70 children in a summer camp, and three times he took a bus load of children on a pilgrimage to Mecca.
He established an NGO, and employed social assistants, physiotherapists and local and international volunteers, but most of the work has been done or supervised by him personally.
In 2014, Yassin had undergone heart surgery, and while he himself needed to go through rehabilitation, the quality of the service his NGO was providing has deteriorated, and he decided to close it.
On top of that, the van he used to drive the kids everyday has been stolen.
Unable to find an alternative place to go to, Yassin’s 40 children are now staying isolated at home.
We want to encourage Yassin to re-offer his valuable support to this children, by providing the necessary funds to cover transportation and medical costs.
